Huh!?

"a little good news"

A little disheartening...the Buddhist-Muslim violence in Myanmar. If anything religious, I think of myself as Buddhist, and when I read about a Buddhist monk running around with a machete, or the Muslim crazies, yadayada, well... It was "sparked by an argument between a Buddhist couple and the Muslim owners of a gold shop". Thinking back to the Inquisition of the Middle Ages, and on and on, history?...

Every once in awhile, when I'm driving, I put on an  Anne Murray's "A Little Good News"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqUUQElQ8kM

Just a few of the lyrics:
There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band
One more sad story's one more than I can stand
Just once how I'd like to see the headline say
"Not much to print today, can't find nothin' bad to say", because

Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody OD'ed, nobody burned a single buildin' down
Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today

walking

It felt so good walking yesterday morning, even with the cold fingers and rainy glasses. My walks have not been happening so much recently. I parked near the Renton Library and walked up the Cedar River along the canal, and between the Renton Airport and Boeing's 767? buildings, all the way out to the Kayaking place where Andrea and I did a Groupon last Summer. A brisk walk going, and some photo shooting on the return walk. I'll be editing and uploading some of those photos later today or tomorrow.
